CURVE My Select Set, 6 cm / 2.4 inch, 6 sizes to 12 sizes

I had been looking for good wooden circular needles since I started knitting a few years ago and I think these are finally it.

The first thing I noticed when trying them was how smooth the tips feel, with no perceptible transition between the tips and the shaft, which feels really really nice. They are not as slippery as metal, which I like since I almost exclusively knit with plant fibres, but they are smoother than my other wood and bamboo needles. I've seen other people say they are smooth as butter and I have to agree.

The other thing I noticed was how flexible and nice the cables were, which made my movements feel a little more free compared to the Cubics I was using before. I was afraid the cables would be unruly like the Chiaogoo, but I haven't have to fight with the Seeknit cables at all.

The joins are very smooth, and while my stitches need a little coaxing to get onto the needle from time to time, they don't seem to be catching on any particular spot. I think my stitches are just a little tight and It was a constant battle getting them onto the Cubics, which was aggravating me and made me splurge on the Seeknit curve! I am not disappointed, helping the stitches along doesn't feel like a struggle, and it only happens a couple times per row of 250 stitches.

One thing I couldn't find any info about is what the 10cm was referring to: from tip to the start of the taper down? From tip to the base of the screw? Actually it's measured from the tip to the end of the metal when you have a cable attached. From the tip to the screw is only 9cm, or 3 1/2". I have small hands and they are still comfortable for me with a little getting used to, but I wouldn't go any shorter if I have a choice.

Another thing I failed to consider is the included cables lengths. My shawl is getting *very* wide and the cables and connectors in this kit can get you to 120cm maximum which wasn't enough for my purpose. I should have added extra cables to my purchase.

All in all, these are the best needles I've ever had the joy of using and I've already ordered more to complete my kit.

The set is a gift for my daughter and I cannot give it a star rating based on use because I have not given it to her yet. Therefore neither of us has tried knitting with them and the star rating above doesn’t reflect how they work - even though they are probably going to be great. She borrowed my older ones (before you manufactured CURVE) and these look easier to use and I am sure she will like them very much. Beautiful packaging and the delivery was only 5 days from Japan to NZ, door to door - amazing!

I love the quality of Seeknit products but found the information on the website confusing. I didn't realize that if you bought all M4 cords, even with both mini converters, you cant use the M4 cords with any of the other size needles. So unfortunately, out of all the needles I bought, the cords only fit the M4 sizes and none of the others so now I have to reorder another shipment (and pay $28 in shipping fee again) to get the cords that actually fit the majority of the needles I posted. I would like to see more explanation about which sizes fit which needles to make it more clear.
